through the social networking site, Facebook.com, and the likes, people in UK specifically in london looted in riots. They were protesting about the incident of police shooting of Mark Duggan in Tottenham. Social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and even RIM’s Blackberry Messenger (BBM) were used initially to communicate about where to meet and where to target next.

this only shows that the information gathered by these individuals plays a vital role in the incident.

nowadays, the web is the most efficient way to influence other individuals. you could even just post something and expect that somebody would believe it. in the case of the london looters, no one can even identify who initiated the event. it’s just that youth believe that they must do something for the authorities to take actions.
